Xtra-Edge™ Hydroponic Nutrient System!

Xtra-Edge Hydroponic Nutrient System!

Available exclusively
from Foothill Hydroponics!

Xtra-Edge™ is an advanced food-grade Hydroponic nutrient formula with chelated micronutrients. All of our liquid and dry formulas are registered and approved by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. What “Food Grade” means is NOT that humans can eat the fertilizer but rather that no toxic heavy metals or contaminants are present. These “Food Grade” fertilizers are recognized as being safe for fertilizing food crops including culinary herbs, medicinals and also tobacco products. We are also inspected at random by CDFA Agricultural Commodities and Regulatory Services Branch, Division of Inspection Services which sends out Feed, Fertilizer and Livestock Drug Program (FFLD) Inspectors. Samples are taken and analyzed at the CDFA's Center for Analytical Chemistry located in Sacramento. We have been selling Xtra-Edge for over 15 years – because it works!

General Application Notes: Hard Tap Water: Add one teaspoon each of HW Micro / Grow / Bloom / per each gallon of water. This 3 teaspoons total should bring your finished solution to between 1100 to 1600PPM, in most cases. If your raw water is over 500PPM you may need to consider a Reverse Osmosis filter to grow successful Hydroponic crops. If actual elemental Calcium in the raw water is less than 60PPM than you should consider blending both Micros, i.e. using ½ teaspoon / per gallon of each rather than a full teaspoon of either. That way the total PPM will not be too high

Rain Water / Soft / RO water: Add one teaspoon each of Micro 5% Calcium / HW Micro / Grow / Bloom / per each gallon of water. This 4 teaspoons total should bring your finished solution to between 900 to 1200, in most cases. If your raw water is very pure you may need to add some Potassium bicarbonate to stabilize the pH from becoming too acidic. In that event add one teaspoon bicarbonate / per every 10 gallons of raw water

Any of the 4 formulas will add between 250 – 300 Parts Per Million at the rate of 1 teaspoon / per gallon (one teaspoon = 5ml) The maximum normal dosage is 4 teaspoons / per gallon total – of any combination of the 4

Xtra-Edge™ Hydroponic Nutrient System Formulas:

3-0-1 Micro, with 5% Calcium. Works with any water, best for R.O. or soft water. Contains all trace elements in the correct proportions. Adds extra calcium to help prevent blossom-end "rot” of tomato and pepper fruit.

0.5-2-10 Hard Water Micro, with 0.5% Fulvic acid stimulant. Super Chelate chemistry with 0.5% magnesium EDTA. This formula assumes that the tap water has enough calcium already (raw water measuring over 250 PPM is normally hard). Maximizes flavor of basil and sage crops during the final ripening stage. Increase tomato size and firmness. Blend with 3-0-1 Micro if actual raw water calcium is less than 60 PPM. Ask your water company for a report!

4-1-3 Grow High Nitrogen, with 2.7% Nitrate / 1.3% Ammonium. For fast-growing plants in bright light. It also helps stabilize pH during vegetative growth.

0-5-3 Bloom Phosphorous, for maximum flower and fruit weight. Contains 1% sulfur and 2% magnesium, which helps maximize quality, flavor and flower size. Each teaspoon of Xtra-Edge™ will add about 250 to 300 PPM of nutrients when added to one gallon of water. For tap water, use one teaspoon per gallon each of Xtra-Edge™ Hard Water Micro, Grow and Blossom formulas (3 teaspoons total). For reverse osmosis water, use one teaspoon per gallon of each of the four Xtra-Edge™ formulas (4 teaspoons total).
